Kite flying time:)

We promised the kids a special treat if they could go to bed with a babysitter so that Mommy and Daddy could go out to watch a movie (The opening night for "There Be Dragons!"). They were so well behaved and went down by 8 and 8.30 with a sitter! Their special treat was to go Kite Flying!
Max's first time seeing kites! He was soo amazed!
Lucas loved it! Couldn't stop smiling...so cute!
Both Cayden and Lucas flew their kites so well and it was the perfect afternoon too! We packed dinner and had a little picnic in the car at shoreline before kite flying.
Max...proud that he is holding the biggest kite! Thanks Popo and Kung Kung for buying this Indo kite...it flew really well!

It's May!

The weather was nice this week...much sunnier and all the more reason to be out and play more:)
Out first "all boys" playdate at Jon Jon and Matthew's home. Both Max and Lucas had fun playing with all the boy toys...never seen so many trains! Thanks for having us over, we had lots of fun:)
Wednesday mornings are my days I get to enjoy coffee/breakfast with Kim with only one kid (Max). I love this breakfast place, Neto bakery. Small cafe in Castro, nice music and love their Mediterranean breakfast. Found out that the yogurt looking thing is turkish cheese, yum:) What a treat and always nice to catch up!
It was really hot on Thursday this week, so we decided to move our regular park playdate to Ortega park where there was WATER! The kids loved it, although after awhile, they got cold from the freezing cold water.
Even Max was having a ball snacking with the moms on the picnic blanket.
We drove Oleg's family to the water park and back home...first time we fit 5 kids in our van:) Lucas and Cayden had fun sharing a bowl of grapes with Oleg on the way home.
On the same day, after the water park and after we picked up Cayden from chinese school, we all went for a special dinner treat. Sushi O Sushi dinner then Honey Berry for dessert!
Making some cookies again with mommy. We love putting tons of sprinkles on them.
Mother's day lunch at another of our favorite spots! Pho Saigon. Of course, it is the kids favorite because of what we let them have if they finish their bowl and stay seated...Lollipops! Even Max now knows the tradition:p

More park fun:)

We spent this week finding things we need for our trip back to Indonesia in June and just playing in the park a lot.
We found our wedding shoes!!!! Yeah, we are getting ready for our trip to Indonesia to be Ciu Ciu Andy's flower boy and ring bearer:)
Most mornings, i get mommy to myself! Me being goofy again:)
On thursday park day, Max discovers that walking is more fun.
Max's first time on the play structure too!
While Cayden was in Chinese school and Max was sleeping, Lukie and mommy had some time quality time together.
We spent an afternoon playing in memorial park with some kindergarden friends after having pizza for lunch. FUN:)
Goo Goo's house again! We love going over to play with our cousin Mailey. We spent the afternoon playing school. Cayden was the teacher and made us practice our letters and drawings.

Easter playdate fun!

This week both kids had the whole week off of school. No school = Playdate time! We had fun catching up with old friends this week, playing and of course...more egg hunts:)

On Monday we met up with some old Las Madres friends for a library playdate, in and out burger then even headed out to Costco. Two moms...5 kids...two large costco carts filled with goodies. We survived and got everything on our list too!
Tuesday we met up with our old playdate friends, William and Alexander. It was fun playing at their home again, then we went off to eat yummy dim sum:p
Wednesday was Lucas' Las Madres Egg Hunt day! We finally made it out...even with the cold, breezy and even drizzling rain, we all showed up for some easter fun:) Egg hunt in the park, craft projects, shaky egg dance, and even some parachute fun:)
On Thursday, Cayden was begging to invite her kindergarden friends over to play, make crafts and have lunch.
Mommy led a little craft project and we all made our mini easter baskets! We even had a chocolate egg hunt in our living room using these little baskets! Max ended up biting into almost 6 eggs and ate 1!
On Saturday we planned an egg hunt in Goo Goo's backyard. Here we are...get ready set go! Max was soo excited...his first easter...first egg hunt and look at how eager he is:)
Mommy took us to the mall from some indoor fun too! Max's first time playing here.
Easter Sunday! Daddy had the whole day off...after mass, we spent the rest of the day just being together at Gilroy! Lots of fun, after some shopping and walking a lot, we had a nice dinner at Applebees and played "I Spy" the whole dinner.

Egg Hunt Week

In preparation for Easter, the kids got to attend three egg hunts each already this week!
The cousins at St. Simon's Egg Hunt. They attended a nice Easter story and sang songs before racing out to find eggs:)
After the egg hunt, we went to Los Altos downtown for more Easter fun and had lunch outdoors. Adelynn laughing a lot with Guiew Guiew.
Cayden wanted a picture with the Easter Bunny, just so she could get an egg with candy in it:)

Max tried green and yellow markers this week. He bit off the tip and sucked all the ink.
Cayden at her school's Walkaton! She was soo excited running at first, then realizing she could do more if she walked. Otter pop treat after walking:) She did a good job asking for sponsors in our neighborhood.
Lucas at his preschool's easter egg hunt! Got 4 eggs here.
Max stood on his own for the first time this week. 5 seconds only. Can't wait for him to start walking soon.
Thursday park playdate with Jia's Jia's kindergarden friends. This time we all brought our rides.
Lucas at his other preschool's egg hunt..so excited to find an egg in the bushes.
Mommy playing with her new brayer...this is what mommy time at night means. :)

Max turns 1!

Our little Max turned 1 on Friday this week. He really enjoyed turning one and wearing his birthday crown almost all week. He had four celebrations with all our different friends and family. See all the fun Max had this week.
On Sunday we had a gymboree party for Max with all his baby friends. He LOVED it! Smiles the whole time! He was a good host...crawling and greeting people.
Me and my cousin Adelynn at Gymboree. She enjoyed the first jumping activity and yelped a little when she was about to be thrown off. Cute.
On Max's actual birthday, during the day we went to Chuck E Cheese. Max didn't enjoy any rides, he just wanted to crawl around.
This week's date was really special, we got a house sitter and all three kids were down by 8! We had a nice long 1.5 hour dinner at our favorite sushi place. So nice and peaceful:)
On Max's actual birthday we went to eat at Fresh Choice with Nai Nai, Goo Foo, Goo Goo and our cousins! Max wanted Goo Foo to carry him to help him get a balloon! Happy Max.
Max enjoying our Thursday park playdates with Cayden's kindergarden friends. First time he held a flower! He seemed fascinated with it:)
First time Max sat in the target three seater! The boys were having lots of fun being together!
First time Max sat in the Lucky's car shopping cart too! We had lots of errands to run this week for Max's big birthday party on Sunday.

We even got some outside play time in this week. Every time it doesn't rain, we're outside! On Monday, Max had a pre-birthday party with Juliet, his first friend. We had all of our Las Madres 2005 friends over to play and have cake! Thanks for making such a yummy lemon cake Auntie Germaine:)
Proudly wearing my birthday crown!
